Betty Jane Pearson Cooper

Betty Jane Pearson Cooper, 78, of Kokomo, passed away at 3:45 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at North Woods Village in Kokomo.
She was born on June 21, 1940 in Wolcott to the late Raymond and Rowena (Lucy) Sigman. Her first marriage was to Robert Pearson and he preceded her in death. On September 2, 1995 she married Jerry Cooper in Monticello. He survives and resides in Kokomo.
She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Kokomo and enjoyed her church family. Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her children, Ed (Benita) Pearson of Oklahoma City, OK, Betty Jean Ford of Beverly Hills, FL, Rowena (Ken) Back of Enterprise, MS, Peggy Sue (Willis) York of Kokomo, Fred Pearson of Monticello, Jerry Cooper, Jr of Kokomo; brothers, Wayne (Carol) Sigman of Venice, FL, Richard Sigman of Remington, and Gordon Sigman of Remington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Franklin; her daughter, Phyllis; and brothers, Ray, Everett, Don, Paul, Delbert and Larry Sigman.
Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Monday at the funeral home with her son, Rev. Ed Pearson officiating.
Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery.
