Betty J. West

Betty J. West, 60, of Brookston, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on November 13, 1959 in Monticello to the late Charles J. and Dorothy (Pauley) Maxson who survives. On June 13, 2009 she married Donald West in Monticello and he survives.
Betty attended Twin Lakes High School and worked at Monon Trailer for a number of years and then for Ball from which she retired in 2013. She loved camping, fishing and all of the holidays, especially Christmas. She cherished time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Donald and her mother, Dorothy, surviving are her children, Billie (Kyle) Peterson of Bunker Hill, WV, Travis Abbott of Monticello, Ronald (Shaina) West of Idaville; sister, Cindy (Greg) Viney of Monticello; grandchildren, Reis, Taylor, Kayton, Maya, Tanner, Haylie and Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father,Charles Maxson, infant son, Billy Lyle, and brother, Joseph Ray Maxson.
Private family services celebrating Betty's life were held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.
