Betty J. Rockhill

Betty J. Rockhill, 85, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 6:10 am at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.She was born on February 25, 1931 in Lafayette to the late Robert and Mary V. (Long) Chamberlain. On May 10, 1952 she married George M. Hughes. He preceded her in death in April, 1958. On December 28, 1960, she married Dale E. Rockhill and he survives.Betty received her Bachelor and Master degrees from Ball State University and retired teaching school after 36 years. Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello.She is survived by two daughters, Mary (John) Corso of Valparaiso, Georgiann Grothouse of Jasper; brother, Dean Chamberlain of Logansport; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Rendleman, Infant son, and first husband, George M. HughesVisitation will be from 10:00am (EDT) until the time of memorial services celebrating Betty's life at 11:00am (EDT), Friday, July 8, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello with Rev.
