Betty A. Cash, 82, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
She was born on May 28, 1939 in Whiting to the late Joseph and Eva (Fuller) Kristek. On August 28, 1959 she married Paul Cash in Whiting and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2004.
Betty was a graduate of Whiting High School. She and her late husband owned Arrowhead Campground until they retired. Betty also worked for the CDC as a direct caregiver. She loved her job and taking care of people. She was a broom maker and did historical reenactments. Betty loved the outdoors, wildlife, flower and vegetable gardening, and was an animal lover.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean "B.J." Cash of Monticello; one brother, Thomas (Teresa) Kristek of Chicago and a sister, Evevlyn Osterman of Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, Paul she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret, Anne, Martin, Jeff, Steve, and John.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am (EST) until the time of services at 1 pm celebrating Betty's life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Pastor Fred Criminger of Faith Covenant Fellowship will officiate services.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Wildlife Federation or ASPCA.
