Barbara Jane Birge Minnick

Barbara Jane Birge Minnick, 59, of Yeoman, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 7:15 p.m. at her residence. She was born May 11, 1949 in Lebanon to the late Frank J. and Vivian Jean (Strong) Birge Her marriage was to Marion L. "Butch" Minnick on June 11, 1967 in Thorntown, and he survives. She was a 1967 Graduate of Thorntown High School. She was Post Master at Yeoman for 23 years. She was a member of the former Monticello Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, and studying family genealogy. Most of all, she enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren. Other Survivors include: 2 Sons, Justin (Marryt) Minnick of Monticello, Dustin Minnick at Home; 2 Daughters, Jessica (Jerry) Lynch of Monticello, Janay (Chad) Stearns of Brownsburg; 2 Brothers, Jack Birge of Seymour, Dick (Jean) Birge of Ingalls, IN; 1 Sister, Pat (Bill) Yates of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, Parker, Bryson, Emily, Marlanda; 2 Step-Grandchildren; 1 Step-great- grandchild. She is preceded in death by her Parents; One Sister, Vera Rance; and One Brother, Johnny Birge. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m., Friday, January 2 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 3, 2009, 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
