Audrey M. Funk, 100, of Monticello died at 8:00 am, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born July 20, 1911 in Manchester, KY to the late Taylor Gilbert and Nancy Margaret (Roberts) Marcum. Her marriage was to Ivan Funk on January 7, 1956 in Royal Center, and he preceded her in death may 3, 1991. She was a member of the Sitka Baptist Church for over 50 years and attended Bell Center Bible Church. She faithfully read and studied her bible daily and was a faithful prayer warrior for many. Mrs. Funk was a homemaker and farm wife. She was an excellent cook and loved gardening. She was the oldest of 8 children raised in a close, caring, and loving family. She is survived by foster son, Jeffery (Dyanna) Jarrared of Logansport whom she raised from the age of 22 months; 2 step-sons, Richard (Marcia) Funk of Royal Center, Thomas (Carolyn) Funk of Burnettsville; 2 sisters, Mary Alice (James) Pickett of Idaville, Ethel (Lewis) Mullins, of Jenison, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil and Buell Marcum; sisters, Mildred Hopkins,Sue Marcum and Inez Criswell. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of services at 11 am, Monday, July 16 at Sprigner-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. John Gardner will officiate services. Burial will follow in Idaville Cemetery. Audrey dearly loved the James Gardner family and the ministry they developed, therefore, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Amazing Grace Mission P.O.
