Ann Debord Copeland

Ann DeBord Copeland, 71, of Monon, passed away at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at her winter home in South Padre Island, Texas. She was born November 8, 1936 in Huntington, IN to the late Jim McCarroll and the late Beatrice (Bayless)McCarroll. Her first marriage was to Douglas G. DeBord on April 23, 1955 in Kentucky, he passed away March 24, 1994. Her second marriage was to Edwin "Ed" Copeland on May 2, 1997. He survives in Monon. Ann was a 1955 graduate of Muncie Central High, Muncie, IN Mrs. Copeland was one of five major benefactors supporting the establishment of the White County Women to Women. She was a volunteer at the White County Food Pantry. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a former member of the Tippecanoe County Club. She enjoyed Golf, being on the water, and shelling. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas. Other survivors include: Daughter, Cindy DeBord of Indianapolis, IN; 2 Sons, Mike (Deb) DeBord of Saline, MI; Eric (Mary Beth) DeBord of Wayne, IL; 6 Grandsons; 3 Step Daughters, Courtney Copeland of Fishers, IN; Nicole (Brad) Flynn of Fishers, IN; Melissa (Pat) Knafel of Fishers, IN; Sister, Lynne (Dennis) Zygmunt of Monticello, IN; and 3 Step Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello. Funeral services will be conducted at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Thursday, February 28, 2008, 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private, for family only, at the Knox Chapel Cemetery, Point Isabel, IN. Memorials may be made to the White County Food Pantry, or to White County Women to Women. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
