Anita F. Carmichael

Anita F. Carmichael, 92, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Story Point Enhanced Living in Portage, MI.She was born on March 5, 1930 in Noblesville to the late Chester and Thelma "Pauline" (Patterson) Randall. On August 17, 1952 she married Norman Lee Carmichael in Monticello. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1967.Anita was a 1948 graduate of Noblesville High School and worked as a bookkeeper for REMC from 1948 until her retirement in 1996. Following her official retirement from REMC, she went back and worked a few more years. She was a member of Monticello Christian Church where she was once very active. She had been a member of Crystal Chapter #165 OES. She loved reading, friends, and sending cards and letters. She enjoyed organizing family dinners. She was always willing to help anyone or organization, but because she was widowed so young, her family, her work, and her church came first.She is survived by her daughter, Jan Carmichael of Portage, MI; sister, Gwendolyn Galbreath of Noblesville; and her granddaughter, Baylee Kinkade of Ypsilanti, MI.In addition to her parents and husband, Norman, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ron L. Randall.Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with close family friend, Pastor Carolyn DeWitt officiating.Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello Christian Church Memorial Garden.
