Alexzay Bradley Wayne Munsell, 14, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:35pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born on May 6, 2004 in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Alexzay was an 8th grader at Maconaquah Middle School. He was a member of Oak Brook Church and active in Cross Roads Community Church Ignite Middle School Ministry.
He was involved in Howard County 4-H. He loved reading, playing with legos, video games and family time. He also enjoyed driving his grandfathers tractor. He was filled with joy for the opportunity to attend prom this past Saturday and remained pumped about it. This past Monday was Alexzay's first day back to school since December.
Alexzay is survived by his parents, Ryan and Katherine (Brovont) Munsell of Kokomo; siblings, Abigail, Madison, Braedon, and Mya Munsell all of Kokomo; grandparents, Michelle (Mike) King of Kokomo, Tracey (Cathy) Brovont of Camden, Becky (Bryan) Ewing of Greentown, and Gerald Munsell of Kokomo; great grandmothers, Nancy Troyer of Miami, IN, Etta Brovont of Camden, Mary Kay Ewing, Kokomo and Bev Miller of Kokomo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family; and God Parents, Jackie Hensley and Tosan Ogbe both of Indianapolis.
He was preceded death by his Grammy, Deanna Munsell; and great grandparents, Russell "Butch" Troyer, Keith Brovont, Truman and Muriel Munsell, Don Miller, Mark Ewing and Sandra Collins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at Southdowns Wesleyan Church in Kokomo located at 175 West 400 South (Hwy 26), and also one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Funeral services celebrating Alexzay's life will be at 10:30 am Saturday at the Southdowns Wesleyan Church in Kokomo with Pastor Max Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Howard County 4-H or to Cross Roads Community Church to benefit Ignite Middle School Ministry. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Floral arrangements and gifts may be delivered to the church after 1 pm on Friday.
