Alberta Demakos

Alberta Demakos, 82, of Monticello died at 9 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 10, 1928 in Gary to the late Milan and Albertine Miscovich. Her marriage was to Ted Demakos, and he preceded her in death November 16, 1991. She had worked as an office manger for a physician until her retirement. After her retirement, she and her late husband moved to Monticello and resided on Lake Freeman. She then worked as the kitchen supervisor at the White County Council on Aging for a number of years. She enjoyed reading. She is survived by a son, Tod Demakos of Munster. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Milan Demakos and three brothers. Graveside memorial services will be at 1 pm, Thursday, May 12 at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello. Memorial contributions may be given to White County Council on Aging.
