Aileen I. Judd

Aileen I. Judd, 94, of Monticello, passed away at 12:10 am, Monday, May 5, 2014 at Monticello Healthcare Center. She was born on April 12, 1920 in Chalmers to the late John and Nellie (McCollum) Duits. In September of 1939, in Muncie, she married Cecil V. Judd and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1987. Aileen was a graduate of Royerton High School which was in the town of Royerton near Muncie. She was a member of the Monticello First Presbyterian Church. She worked at Indiana Beach at the ski-ball attraction. She loved spending time with family and her extended family, the nurses, aides, and friends at the nursing home. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Bertram of Monticello; son, Jack (Rosa) Judd of Monticello and Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Richard (Brenda) Williams, Mike (Dee) Williams, Bob (Sharon) Williams, John (Carrie) Williams, Robin (Van) Petit, Missy (Drew) Weider, Jay Jay (Jayne) Judd, Cecil Judd, and Clint Judd; four step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joe Judd; and two sons-in-law, Jack Williams and Dick Bertram. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Rev. Tom Albaum officiating. The Presbyterian Prayer Circle will be at 3:30 pm at the funeral home. Graveside committal services will be at 11 am, Friday at the Gardens of Memory Chapel located at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello First Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
